The Development of Gas Water Heaters and Their Working Principles
In recent years, the government has been actively advancing the establishment of a gas pipeline network, which has driven steady growth in both the production and sales of domestic gas water heaters. In China’s market, nearly all gas water heaters adopt an instant heating design, offering benefits such as rapid heating, compact structure, and cost-effectiveness. Compared to other types of water heaters, gas water heaters have gradually gained a competitive edge and have consistently held the top sales position in the domestic market for several consecutive years.
How Does a Gas Water Heater Operate?
When tap water enters the gas water heater, the pressure difference created by the water flow activates the water-gas linkage valve. Simultaneously, this movement triggers a micro switch, which turns on the power and starts the pulse controller. As a result, the gas solenoid valve opens, allowing gas to flow to the burner, which then ignites.
A flame detection component continuously monitors the flame intensity and sends feedback to the pulse controller. If ignition is successful, the system maintains a stable current, keeping the solenoid valve open and ensuring continuous combustion. However, if the ignition process fails and no flame signal is detected, the solenoid valve remains closed, cutting off the gas supply. This built-in safety feature prevents gas leakage and ensures user protection.
KANGERLE KW12 Micro Switch for Water-Gas Linkage Valve Control
KANGERLE’s KW12 micro switch provides stable and reliable control for the water-gas linkage valve in gas water heaters. This valve system consists of both water and gas control components, with the micro switch securely mounted within a designated slot for easy installation. When water flows through the inlet pipe, the micro switch activates, completing the circuit and allowing hot water to be dispensed as expected.
The KW12 series micro switch is designed for gas water heaters, featuring a compact size, quick response, and high sensitivity. It has obtained global safety certifications and boasts a long electrical lifespan with consistent and dependable performance. With a terminal load capacity of up to 10A, the switch is available in multiple terminal configurations and actuator options to suit various applications.
With over 30 years of expertise in R&D and manufacturing, KANGERLE specializes in producing micro switches, waterproof micro switches, tactile switches, and detection switches. The KW12 series micro switch is widely utilized not only in gas water heaters but also in multi-turn electric devices, compact electric actuators, medical chairs, gas stoves, and electric drying racks.
